Location: 75 miles North of Saipan Island, 200 miles North of Guam. Is an island. The island is 5.6 miles long and 2 miles wide. Found in the Northern Mariana Islands in the Pacific Ocean.Also part of the United States.

Eruptions: Last known eruption started in 2007 and ended in 2008. The biggest eruption that we know of happened in May 2003."For the past week, a billowing columm of dark volcanic ash has been erupting from the Anatahan Volcano in the Northern Mariana Islands, burying parts of the volcano with more that 45 cm of ash and sending a dilute eruption cloud more than 1000 km to the west"(First Historical Eruption of Anatahan Volcano, Northern Mariana Islands).
Facts: No humans can live on this island because of the high chance of the volcano erupting. Has rare animal that live there. The Japanese surrendered on this island.
